I've been gathering all the inspiration I can and recently visited the Whitworth Gallery in Manchester. I was delighted to come across the 'Private Paradise' wallpaper exhibition, however it was the Lucienne Day fabric that caught my eye. Considering my own colour scheme the pillar box red definitely seems to have been the colour of the 50s.Tuesday, 1 March 2011

PROJECT WALLPAPER!

As part of my final university project I am creating a wallpaper and fabric company.
My first collection will have a 1950s Festival of Britain theme. In the current recessional period many post-war values are once again relevant.
The 40s style florals that have been at the height of fashion are becoming over used and the design world is preparing for a full on 50s revival.
